ALEXANDER PANKIN IN THE EWF ORGANISING COMMITTEE
The first session of the Eurasian Women’s Forum Organising Committee took place in the Federation Council. Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, was one of its members. He told EWC journalists about the role of women in the modern world, their status in our country, and said a few words about the upcoming event.
Alexander mentioned that the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum would be a very huge and significant event, which would touch upon the most relevant issues of women. Moreover, the participants will not only share their achievements and success stories, but also discuss current problems, suggest their solutions. Alexander thinks that it is very important that discussions planned for the Forum have a practical focus.
The Second Eurasian Forum will give the participant an opportunity to share work experience in the sphere of the women’s agenda. Alexander mentioned that Russia achieved great goals in this direction.
Thus, the role of women is increasing quickly. One can notice it in administration, management, and corporative spheres. Women have huge opportunities for realisation of their potential in many spheres of activities. They also have rights equal to men’s ones. That is very important because we can’t solve many problems without considering points of view of the both genders. Alexander thinks that the future depends on women greatly. They are mothers, thus they bring up children and can teach them right things such as non-aggressive patriotism, good, and creativity. Thus, we will have not wars but peace.
