Corporate Charity Leaders
Accepting applications for participation in a contest
In 2019, the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation supported the joint project of the Donors’ Forum, the PwC international audit and consulting services network, and the Vedomosti newspaper: ‘Corporate Charity Leaders in the Paradigm of Sustainable Development’. It also served as a partner of the Best Programme Contributing to Gender Equality special nomination.
The Corporate Charity Leaders project has been being successfully realised for 11 years already. It has become the largest event allowing to identify the leaders of this sector.
Over the time of the contest’s existence, over 170 companies carrying out their activities in the Russian Federation took part in it.
The Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum conducts systemic work on promotion and development of women’s agenda, women’s empowerment in social and economic life of the country.
The ‘Women in Developing Corporate Charity’ project realised within the Council is focused on supporting new technologies in this sphere by means of popularisation of women’s role in private institutional charity and corporate social responsibility.
“I believe that joint efforts of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum and the Donors’ Forum including those within the Corporate Charity Leaders project will on the one hand contribute to spreading innovative and successful corporate charity programmes at interregional and international levels. On the other hand, they will contribute to attracting women leaders to forming the strategies and branches of social investments of companies”, emphasized Galina Karelova, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council and Chairperson of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum.
This year, the commitment to sustainable development became one of the main trends of the Corporate Charity Leaders contest. The 5th Sustainable Development Goal, which is “achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”, plays an important role in that.
“The Donors’ Forum is grateful to the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum for supporting corporate charity leaders and participation in the project as a partner of the Best Programme Contributing to Gender Equality nomination”, said Aleksandra Boldyreva, CEO of Donors' Forum, supervisor of the ‘Women in Developing Corporate Charity’ project of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum.
