EWF: Women Form the Communication Space

Women leaders as creators of constructive and humanistic change are meant to become the catalyst for positive process and cooperation in the context of a new global crisis. That, together with women’s empowerment in solving the world’s global problems, will be the topic for discussion of the participants of the SOCIAL INNOVATIONS #INFOCUS International Conference in Geneva (Switzerland), held prior to the 38th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

Plenary session ‘The role of volunteerism and social innovation in agenda 2030’ will be moderated by the Chair of the London-based Employer Supported Volunteering network, Dominic Pinkney (UK). The programme includes exchange of unique technologies of innovators from around the world in improving people's quality of life and solving pressing social issues.

Marina Volynkina, Head of the Eurasian Women's Community news agency, Rector of the Institute for the Humanities and Information Technologies, is invited to the join speakers of the event on the UN platform. As the Russian representative of the Eurasian Women's Forum Organizing Committee, she will speak about the role of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation in the creation of the Forum, the policy of the priority of gender equality in Russia, the tasks facing women who initiate sociocultural, scientific and economic transformations in their countries.

One of the main ideas of the EWF is the formation of a new communication space. That is the solution to accessing key information flow for sharing knowledge and contacts for all women, regardless of skin color and country of residence. The discussion on ‘Information for Peace and Sustainable Development’ is planned during the second Eurasian Women's Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg in September.

EWF organizers invite the participants of the #INFOCUS International Conference to join the constructive dialogue.
