Health Festival at the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum
The Health Festival “Women of the world for a healthy lifestyle” will be held as part of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum. The idea was put forward by the celebrated figure skater Irina Slutskaya, world and European champion and Olympic medalist, who is now a deputy of the Moscow Region Duma. She is convinced that, if united, women throughout the world will be able to improve public health and motivate other people to choose a healthy lifestyle.
The programme is designed for those concerned about their quality of life and willing to learn more about their own possibilities. The Festival will bring together healthy lifestyle enthusiasts, offering them an opportunity to exchange experience and exercise wellness practices together. The participants will be able to make useful contacts, attend open sports and wellness classes, lectures on a healthy diet, workshops on cooking healthy dishes, an organic food fair and many other options.
The key event of the Festival will be the business breakfast “What is HLS? or HLS. Reload.”
The business breakfast will be attended by physicians, coaches, instructors and athletes from different countries and leading female campaigners for a healthy lifestyle. Their presentations will include an interactive demonstration.
The business breakfast will be followed by practical master classes/workshops.
Irina Slutskaya and Marko Kantaneva, a Finnish skier and Nordic walking pioneer, will teach Nordic walking to everyone interested.
Other features of the discussion platform include:
- Japan’s experience. The Shin-shin-toitsu-do (Shindo) system of yoga and meditation. Japan’s experience is particularly valuable because people’s health is seen as part of the Japanese national idea and huge attention is paid to physical education and physical activities throughout people’s lives.
- China’s experience. Chinese gymnastics. Taoist practices. Qigong for women, allowing them not only to improve their general condition and looks, but also keep a clear mind and prevent decline in intellect and memory, which are not uncommon in old age.
- All kinds of dances: Contemporary, Classic, Ballroom, Twerk/Booty Dance, Strip-plastic/Exotic Pole Dance, Partner Dance (Latin, Salsa, Bachata, Tango, Waltz, Merengue, Samba, Rhumba, Foxtrot, Belly Dance, Breakdance), Oriental Dance, Indian Dance, Tribal Fusion, Mandala.
