IGOR DROZDOV: WHAT PROJECTS DO WOMEN RUN IN SKOLKOVO
Journalists of the Eurasian Women’s Community interviewed Igor Drozdov, President of the Skolkovo Fund, within the framework of international conference Intellectual Property in the New Technological Order. He told about importance of intellectual property in the modern world, said where it was easier to introduce the blockchain technology, and what global projects do women run in Skolkovo.
He is sure that knowledge is the most important thing in the XXI century. Conditionally, there are three stages of production: an idea, creation of the product, and bringing it to consumers. The second and the third ones become cheaper and cheaper in the modern world due to new technologies. For example, 3D printer allows you to quickly create anything you want, modern goods delivery platforms such as Alibaba and Amazon allow you to find consumers quickly. Thus, knowledge is the most valuable thing now.
Speaking of modern technology blockchain, Igor mentioned that rightholders are interested in fixation of priorities: when and by whom was this or that intellectual product created. The blockchain is expected to fix this issue. It is easier to apply it in the sphere of intellectual property than at registration of rights for immovable property because it is not enough to agree on a change of ownership in this legal sphere. One will also need to make sure that a deal complies with all the laws. The machine won’t be able to check it.
According to Igor Drozdov, there are about 1800 startups in Skolkovo. Women run many of them. They are famous projects enjoying success on international markets. Thus, a woman is one of the founders and heads of the company ExoAtlet, which develops and produces medical exoskeleton. They help people with lower paraplegia redeem themselves and adapt to society. It allows to recover and compensate musculoskeletal disorders. People get a chance to move by themselves.
