ILO TO PRESENT A RESEARCH AT EWF
Largest international organisations and associations will take part in the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum. The International Labour Organisation will also present its research on one of the Forum’s discussion platforms. The study is on gender aspects of employment, education, and CIS youth professional development.
The ILO vibrantly promotes gender equality as a crucial part of principles and rights in the employment sphere. Alongside with that the ILO’s essential line of action is solving youth’s employment problems. Gender issues are also included there.
The organisation did a 7-year research of several CIS countries. Among them are Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Kirghizia. Despite gender equality in education, professional development, and employment being legislatively introduced in those countries, certain gender stereotypes still dominate labour market there. The ILO specialists analysed causes and after effects of such phenomena.
It is expected the results will both provide an impetus for further discussions and be used as a tool to grant universal gender equality in employment via different policies and programmes. One of the research’s primary goals is to provide suggestions on improving youth politics, education, and employment sphere.
The research will be presented and proposed for discussion at the Second EWF. The women-participants from all over the globe will be able to express their opinions on the existing issues, share their ideas and positive practices of their governments.
The Forum will also touch upon other youth-related topics and projects. For instance, a special youth platform will work throughout the event.
