“In addition, together with Anna Nesterova, founder of a Russian cross-border electronic trade platform Global Rus Trade, we took the initiative to establish BRIСS Women`s Business Club. We expect it will have five most successful and authoritative women entrepreneurs as members from Russia”, she said. Natalia Strigunova expressed her hope that the Federation Council would support BRIСS Women`s Business Club in its institutionalization.

According to the speaker, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation actively promotes the topic of supporting women’s entrepreneurship to be discussed in many international organisations. For example, last week there was an international conference in Rostov-on-Don. The session of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) as its part included the discussion dedicated to ways of addressing this topic together with countries of the Black Sea region.

According to Natalia Strigunova, the upcoming Forum will become the most important event. The first results of working on women’s empowerment, including implementation of the Russian National Strategy for Women 2017-2022, will be estimated at the Forum. Doing that will allow to work out further measures to address the issue mentioned.

“I wish all women to believe in themselves. Never be afraid of moving forward. Use all opportunities and resources you have. We will support and assist you”, she finished.
