The Second Eurasian Women’s Forum will take place on September 20-21 in St. Petersburg. Representatives of different spheres of activities will take part in this event. They all are united by desire to make the world better. News agency of the Eurasian Women’s Community starts to introduce the participants of the coming event. 

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam, is also invited to the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum. She is the first woman to head the parliament of this country. By the way, she took this position twice and she was re-elected almost unanimously – 98% of the votes. 


Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan pays much attention to supporting the rising generation and protection of the children’s rights. Thus, she started a programme Journey of love. The students from all over the country would be able to receive special payments in the framework of this programme. The first nominees for these payments were 110 students from Can Tho. The programme also supports children from poor families, informs the society about children’s rights, and hosts campaigns for protection of their rights. 

She also reduced the rate of infant mortality in her country. The rates reduced from 36.7 to 16% during the period from 2000 to 2010. Moreover, she put much effort in providing of observance of rights. 

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received United Nations children’s fund prize for her activities in this direction. Lotta Sylvander, Chairperson of the Organisation, personally thanked Mrs. Ngan for her contribute to providing a high-level life for children of the country. The head of Vietnam parliament mentioned that she would make every effort to develop different social programmes in this sphere. According to her, Vietnam will pay much attention to improvement of system of laws touching the children issues. 

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan realises the great importance of international cooperation. Thus, she mentioned that countries could share experience and technologies, in which they have advantage during her meeting with Siren Gjerme Eriksen, Norwegian ambassador. Mrs. Ngan expressed her hope in strengthening of relations between Norway and Vietnam. They also discussed issues connected with signing an agreement between Vietnam and European Free Trade association. 

The relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic also develop. Mrs. Ngan suggested simplifying the procedure of obtaining a visa for citizens of Vietnam. 

Vietnam pays much attention to development of relations with Russia. Mrs. Ngan had a meeting with Galina Karelova, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. They discussed preparations for the Second Women’s Forum during this meeting. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said she wanted to participate in this event.
