WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN KHABAROVSK
Oksana Fokina is a chairperson of Committee for Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship of OPORA RUSSIA in Khabarovsk. The Committee exists for 2.5 month but many women of this city have begun developing their business.
Oksana is a professional in this sphere – she is in this business for more than 10 years. She is specialising on delivering fire prevention equipment. It should be said that Oksana started developing her business at the time her child was born.
There is a project in Khabarovsk. It is called Mother Entrepreneurship. It is aimed to help women get over their fear that prevents them from developing their business. The course lasts for a week. It is absolutely free. There are business couches that plunge women in business sphere. At the end of the course women defend their business projects. If they succeed, they get a grant for 200 thousand RUB.
The Committee also bandies about women movements. Thus, there was a photo exhibition Mama Can Everything. The pictures were exhibited on esplanade – the most picturesque place of Khabarovsk.
There will be a business forum in October in the city. One of the sessions will be dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship. Oksana Fokina says that businesswomen of Khabarovsk are unique, multifaceted and communicative. They are not afraid of non-standard moves in business.
